What is the Goose Club? It's a very exclusive group of people who have a deep-in-their-heart passion for all things "Goose", but especially for those who want to fly on one. If you've ever had a ride on one, you never forget. Some of you have flown many times, and maybe others never had the chance...until now! There are no membership fees, other than "paying your dues" by taking a ride. The goal here is to bring together like minded people for a day, a weekend or maybe even a week! And what are we going to do? Fly!!!     Currently there are not any functions/events planned. However, our Goose Club chief pilot Dennis Buehn is usually available for charter flights out of his base in Carson City, Nevada. This is about a ten minute flight from beautiful Lake Tahoe, which affords many opportunities for landings and take-offs on the water. Generally, most charters are 5 or 6 people to help keep the "per person" cost down. The day, time and itinerary will be made by mutual agreement between you and Mr. Buehn. Mr. Buehn's Grumman G-21 Goose was built in 1944, too late to be used in the war effort, and was sold NEW as government surplus. The current tail number is N985R and the original number is B86-4763C. As you can see, we have many photos of his plane on the web site, taken at Catalina Island in May of 2004. A former resident of Catalina and ex-Catalina Airlines employee, Mr. Buehn is quite familiar with the flight paths the pilots took on the island, bringing a very sentimental feeling to those who were there in the Glory Days of Catalina aviation.
