Total built: 220. Caption on bottom states: Sikorsky S-51 The First Helicopter Naval Rescue. On February 9, 1947 Dimitry D. (Jimmy) Viner Sikorsky chief test pilot, piloted a S-51 to rescue Lt. Robert A. Shields when he ditched his SB2C Helldiver because of engine failuer.
