NC 41881 "Excambian" would also fly for Avalon Air Transport / Catalina Air Lines and Antilles Air Boats. Now at New England Air Museum. Caption on bottom states: Sikorsky VS-44A The 44th aircraft model designed and built by Igor Sikorsky first flew in 1942. Considered a true flying boat it was designed for non-stop Transatlantic flight. Three VS-44A's were built, the Excalibur, the Excambian and the Exeter.
